Taylor Swift has officially announced her latest album this Wednesday, on a podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Swift surprised fans by announcing her 12th studio album titled, 'Life of a Showgirl' on Wednesday, during an episode of the 'New Heights' podcast which is run by her boyfriend, a professional NFL player, and his brother, Jason Kelce.

During the announcement, the "All too well" singer also revealed the cover art of the new album as well as all 12 titles of the album's songs, including the title track, which features Sabrina Carpenter.

The album, set to be released on the 3rd of October this year was in the works while the singer was in Sweden during her visit to Europe for the 'eras' tour taking place sometime in May last year.

Commenting on the inspiration behind her latest project, Swift shared that the album is a reflection of her life behind the scenes during her tour performances. She describes how "energetically" life has been within that period, adding that it has been "so exuberant, electric and vibrant."

She also mentioned that fans can expect to hear songs that she describes as "infectious."

Taylor Swift's 12 album was produced by herself alongside Swedish music producers, Max Martin and Shellback whom the singer has worked with in previous albums to produce hits such as "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space."

Max Martin and Shellback are also credited with working for other well-known artists in the music industry, including Britney Spears, Usher, Pink and Ariana Grande.

During the episode, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce also shared details about their relationship and the past controversy regarding ownership over her music, and insight into the music industry.
