More about me
I received my bachelor's degree in journalism from London's City, St. Georges University last summer, 2025. This February, I was selected to intern as an afrobeat writer for the Lambo Xtra editorial team. An online Afropop magazine headquartered in Lagos. I presently get to employ my storytelling skills into the African musical landscapes of Amapiano and Afrobeats in addition to meeting young, aspiring creatives in these spaces.
I also have experience with newswriting, broadcast filming, and securing sources to interview for news stories. In fact, one of my favorite interviews that I conducted involved a case study on someone named Dan, who recalled his experience living as a property guardian in a refurbished, abandoned office as a report on London's steep housing costs in a mini audio documentary I created. Listen to it in the audio section here.
Some other facts about me include the fact that I love to travel. As a matter of fact, countries I've lived in include: Malawi, Kenya, as well as the Netherlands, where I started off as a contributing writer for my high school newspaper, which naturally played an influential role in my love for journalism later on.
